The Department of Education has produced new video resources on Supporting autistic students with transition that features our school.
The videos highlight how Echuca College has developed a robust transitions program to support Year 6 students from local primary schools make a smooth transition into Year 7 and high school life. Part 1 shows how our college works with its feeder schools and families to get to know incoming students and find out how we can best support them. Part 2 shows how we work with the I CAN Schools program to help autistic students create connections with peers and staff at our school before they start Year 7.
These videos are part of a series produced by the department to showcase exemplary practices in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
